My Rememberings...

There are thoughts which come in to us and there are thoughts which go out from us. Each has it's own unique quality, it's certain way of affecting either us or whomever the thoughts reach as words or actions.

Some thoughts are unpleasant, at least not as attractive as other thoughts. They may have come alive as the result of an experience which we have no desire to retain in our minds or lives and are quickly (sometimes quickly) discarded, even, eliminated from our minds.

And some thoughts are of pleasant things, things we treasure and will retain in our minds for many years; perhaps for a lifetime; things which give us pleasure and happiness and feelings of security or joy; a fondness we refuse to release from our minds. These thoughts are our memories, our pieces of a time and a place visited,- or a person or incident which is dear to our hearts and minds and souls; thoughts that will sometime sustain us and even increase us at times when we may need, the very most, a love or a friendship or a encouraging word or deed.

These are our memories.

  2. Isn't it strange, sometimes the transition from the thoughts of a child to the thoughts of an adult come slowly, quietly and gradually and at other time, comes quickly, with a flash and a roar?... In the words of the ultimate purveyor of profundities, Chico the Wonder dog, "Oh, well...go figure."
